Here you will find information about installing a water softener
Installation
In the picture below you can see the installation plan displaying what the appliance needs to function.
The following preparations are required in order to use this appliance:
- Water supply pipe (cold) 3/4” with a cut off valve.
- Drainage at a maximum height of 10cm.
- Electric socket 230V / 50Hz, 16A
- Floor drainage must be in the room.
- Sediment filter should be installed before the water softener
After the preparation for mounting is set, the device is to be placed in the designated room in accordance with the structure designed for the water softener.
The device connections are shown in the following figure below:
Step 1:
- Connect the inlet (1) and outlet (2) to the water supply
The water pressure must be at least 2,0 bars and a maximum of 6,0 bars.
- Connect the elastic drain pipe (1/2’) to the stub connector pipe (3) then run the pipe to a sewage grating or a draining system.
The sewage draining should be permeable enough to drain 20L/m of the flushing water. The draining pipe should be stiff enough to avoid it breaking.
- Before the water softener, a mechanical sediment filter should be installed, (shown in the 1st image) to protect the device from mechanical damage caused by sediments found in water pipes.
Step 2:
- The brine tank of the water softening device should be filled with salt tablets.
- Check and tighten all fittings connecting the device.
Step 3:
- Connect to an electric power socket.
NOTE: The device is factory adjusted. The fine tuning is done by the user on site. Verify the oDH water hardness for your local water the efficiency can then be verified on the capacity table. (see capacity table)
The valve is preset for regenerating the tank (see regeneration cycle) at 2 a.m. Depending on the water hardness, set the appropriate number according to the degree of water hardness passing through the valve.
