Solution

 

If the surface of sliced product becomes frayed or coarse and the cutting operations is not smooth, the knife is to be sharpened.


 

  • Start by making sure the machine is "OFF".

 

  • Locate the sharpener which is positioned perfectly on top of the blade disk ready to sharpen.

 

  • Unscrew the plastic black bolt holding the sharpener, lift and turn it 180°.

 

  • Slide the sharpener back down into the special rail aligning the blade and sharpener, however make sure the sharpener is well positioned on the surface of the blade edge.

 

  • Start the appliance and hold the back button on the sharpener for about 60 seconds to sharpen only the back of the blade.

 

  • Finally press the front sharpener button for about 2-3 seconds simultaneously to clear the sharpening burr. (The picture below clearly shows the front and back buttons on the sharpener)

ATTENTION!
Once sharpening is finished has been performed, wipe the front and back of the blade to remove the metal dust from sharpening.
