It is impossible to know exactly how much salt your water softener may consume as the results may vary depending on usage and the local water hardness level. Therefore it is important to check on the salt level periodically at least 1 time every month, if the salt level is below half then it should be refilled. 

ATTENTION!
The water softener should always have more than half a tank full of salt tablets for optimal use.
