Here you will find information about cleaning a microwave oven.

Cleaning

Step 1:

  • Turn off the oven and remove the power plug from the wall socket before cleaning.
  • Keep the inside of the oven clean. When food splatters or spilled liquids adhere to oven walls, wipe with a damp cloth. Mild detergent may be used if the oven gets very dirty. Avoid the use of spray and other harsh cleaners as they may stain, streak or dull the door surface.

Step 2:

  • The outside surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth.
  • Wipe the door and window on both sides, the door seals and adjacent parts frequently with a damp cloth to remove any spills or spatters.
  • Clean the control panel with a very lightly damp cloth and make sure the microwave is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
  • If condensation starts to appear on the casing of the microwave,  wipe it with a cloth. This may happen because of operating the microwave in a humid environment.
  • Take out the ceramic plate and roller ring in order to clean them.

Step 3:

  • To remove odors from the inside of the microwave, combine water, lemon juice and skin in a deep bowl.
  • Microwave for 5 minutes and dry thoroughly after.

ATTENTION!

The microwave should be cleaned regularly for hygienic purposes and conservation reasons. Failing to do so can result in faster deterioration and hazardous situations.
